Paterson, NJ (June 8, 2016) . . . New Era has been growing at a rapid, consistent pace, and saw a need to expand in order to continue to provide the level of quality and service that their customers are used to. As such, they have expanded their engineering capabilities by hiring three new engineers, including a new lead mechanical design engineer, Joseph Vojta, a mechanical design engineer, Chris Garrett, and a controls engineer, Brian Halayko.
Joseph Vojta comes to New Era with 30 years of experience in high speed printing and specialty winding. He is a College of Aeronautics graduate with many years of hands on experience in sales, design, and service. His experience in the industry and his knowledge of the process made him an ideal candidate for the lead mechanical design engineer position.
Chris Garrett is a recent graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology, receiving his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. Through his school he has worked through a co-op with New Era for 4 years, and now that he has received his degree he will come over to New Era full time as their newest mechanical design engineer.
Brian Halayko has spent the last 5 years in the converting and dry-offset printing industry gaining experience in automation and controls. This experience encompasses a complete design of control systems across the entire pipeline from purchase to start-up. Brian has a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Northeastern University and will work at New Era as a controls engineer. His extensive knowledge of control systems and background of a wide variety of drives and PLCs will help New Era stay ahead of the industry in controls and automation.
“We couldn’t be happier with the caliber of talent and the quality of people we have acquired in our latest engineering hires of Joseph, Chris, and Brian,” said Paul Lembo. “We are confident that each of them will bring a lot to the table and help keep New Era at the forefront of the industry in terms of our engineering capabilities.”
